THE main road between Avening and Nailsworth has been reopened after it was blocked by a fallen tree earlier today.
Although the B4104 Avening Road was completely obstructed for many hours after strong winds felled a large tree by the Weighbridge, it reopened earlier this evening.
A tree is blocked the Avening Road between Spring Mill Estate and the Weighbridge Inn.
A spokesperson from the Weighbridge Inn said that police had closed the road just by the Spring Mill Estate and drivers were being asked to take an alternative route to get to Nailsworth from Avening.
"There isn't much traffic on the road at the moment," said the member of staff from the Weighbridge.
"But obviously it is approaching school pick up time so it may get worse."
