Rubbish collections for the Christmas period have been hit today by bad weather.

This is the latest on arrangements:

Stroud District Council: Due to snow that has fallen overnight there may be some areas difficult for our vehicles access.

If your waste has not been collected please leave it out for 48 hours following collection day.

Should your waste not be collected within this time then please take it back in and represent it on your next scheduled collection day and side waste will be permitted.

Cotswold District Council: Following the overnight snow, there has been a delay in the start of today's waste/recycling collections in line with the revised waste collection schedules for the Christmas/New Year period.

Nevertheless, Ubico is advising residents to leave waste and recycling at the kerbside until it is picked up.

Residents will also be able to leave extra waste provided it is bagged and placed by the side of the refuse bin.

Please call our waste hotline on 01285 623123 if you have any queries.

Wiltshire Council: Arrangements are unaffected by the weather.

There will be no waste or recycling collections on New Year's Day and garden waste collections will be suspended from Christmas Day for two weeks.

Collections will return to their normal timetable on Tuesday, January 9.

South Gloucestershire Council: Arrangements are unaffected by the weather.

Collections will not take place on New Year's Day. This means the collection crews will be working on December 30, and January 6 and 13 to catch up.
