A MET Office severe weather warning for ice is in place after temperatures as low as -12C were recorded in parts of Gloucestershire last night.
Today will see temperatures struggling to get above freezing until this evening.
Some bright spells are likely through the morning but it will remain bitterly cold.
Rain is likely through this evening and into tonight.
The Met Office's yellow warning is in place for the entirety of Gloucestershire and for most of Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire until 11am.
