  • THE next Police meeting point/drop-in will be on Wednesday, November 29 from 2-3pm. As always this will be held in Tetbury Town Council offices the Old Courthouse, 63 Long Street for an informal or formal chat with a local officer.
  • THE Friends of Tetbury Community Transport trips for December are Saturday, December 2 to Whitehall Garden Centre 10am-3pm, December 9 to Cribbs Causeway, 9am-3pm and December 16 to  Bath, 9am-3pm.This is a door to door service. Subject to voluntary donation only as the trips are sponsored by Tetbury Lions, South Cotswold Rotary, Tetbury Feoffees, Waitrose and Tetbury Town Council.   • THE Cherington Christmas Fair is on Saturday and Sunday, November 25 and 26 at Toad Hall, Trull Farm, GL8 8SQ where there will be tempting treats unusual gifts, stylish stocking fillers, designer crafts and highest quality presents. An exciting collection of local independent designers and village stalls. On Saturday from 10am-4pm and Sunday 11am-3pm. Please bring plenty of cash as card facilities are limited.
  • CREATE your own Christmas wreath at the Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Centre on Friday, December 1 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. All foliage and some decorations will be included but you can also bring your own. You will also need to bring a pair of sharp secateurs.   • THE always popular St Marys’ Church Christmas Market takes place on Saturday, December 2, 10am to12.30pm at the Market Hall, Tetbury. Free entry. Stalls including cakes, biscuits, pickles and jams, a Fair Trade stall, Christmas gifts, tombola and raffle and much more.
  • THE Dolphins Hall Christmas Bazaar on December 2, 10am-3pm when Father Christmas will make his first call in Tetbury. There will be a selection of stalls , teas, coffee, cakes, popcorn and candyfloss.   • VOTING for the Neighbourhood plan referendum takes place on Thursday, December 5, 7-10pm. There will be some special events there will be taking place at the Dolphins Hall on Monday, November 27, 3-6.30pm, Wednesday, November 29, 9.30am-6.30pm, and on Thursday, November 30, 9.30am-1.30pm or you can visit the Town Council office or Tetbury Library where the plans and documents are on show. Alternatively visit cotswold.gov.uk
  • SWING From Paris will be preforming at Tetbury Goods Shed on December 8, 7.30-10pm. Often described as “the finest Gipsy Jazz in the Cotswolds”, Swing from Paris recreates the sounds of a chic Parisian Café and the French jazz of Django Reinhart and Stephane Grappelli. Tickets from Tetbury Tourist Information office or visit shed-arts.co.uk 
  • THE recreation committee is reminding dog walkers to please please keep their dogs on leads and to clear up any dog fouling in the Recreation Ground. Please remember this is a public area and used by many many people as well as sports clubs. Please respect this area as you would your own and report anyone acting irresponsibly to the council offices.

  • NIGEL Corbally Stourton is giving a lecture on social, economic and environmental issues tomorrow, 7pm in the village hall. Tickets, to include a glass of wine, are £15 from Sherston Post Office Stores. Proceeds to the village hall.
  • THE church’s Christmas bazaar is on Saturday, from noon in the village hall, with lunch of homemade soup and bacon or cheese rolls.  There will be stalls, gifts, cakes, children’s activities, a raffle, and tombola, plus a visit from Father Christmas.
