IT WAS incredibly moving to sit and listen to Michael tell his story about causing an accident which nearly killed himself last year, but this very act will no doubt save lives.

He took the decision last year to overtake cars and reach speeds of 70-80mph, just because he was running a bit late to work.

He put lives at risk and has faced judgement from the courts and had to live with the feeling of guilt ever since.

However, Michael was truly brave to stand and face the emergency services who saved his life.

It was a miracle that nobody was killed that day.

In fact, in a strange twist of fate, Michael’s bravery to tell his story will make others think twice about speeding and this in itself will save lives.

He has faced justice for the crash he caused and is still suffering psychologically and physically.

Michael has turned his life around and by opening up about what he did is making Gloucestershire’s roads safer and he should be commended for that.
