DAVID Beckham “smelt amazing” a Tetbury woman said after bumping into the football superstar in the town centre and posing for a photo with him.

Emma Weston, a teaching assistant at St Mary’s Primary School, said Mr Beckham left her “completely star struck” during their chance meeting on Thursday morning.

“He was lovely and he was happy to have his photograph taken,” she said.

“I was completely star struck and I couldn't concentrate on anything for the rest of the day.

“He smelt amazing, too. Lucky, lucky me,” she added.

The former England captain and Manchester United midfielder was also spotted coming out of Lorfords Antiques.

Sally Cosham collared him outside the shop, and said he offered to pose for a photo, while employees at nearby Woodlodge Products at Babdown Airfield also came out to meet him.
