THE cast and crew of BBC Three mockumentary This Country spent several days in Fairford filming the second series.

One of the new episodes was filmed over two days at Fairford Bowling Club and shows ‘Kurtan’ Mucklowe (played by Charlie Cooper) working behind the Bowling Club bar.

More filming took place inside Fairford Hospital, which was renamed Pearcroft Minor Injuries Unit and shows Kerry Mucklowe (played by Daisy May Cooper) having treatment after she hurt her foot.

During the shoot, the cast and crew took their much-needed lunch breaks at Fairford Town Football Club’s clubhouse in Cinder Lane.

When pushed for spoilers, producer Simon Mayhew-Archer was remaining tight-lipped about any plot details for season two, which will air early next year.

Charlie told Fairford Ripples magazine: “It has been brilliant filming here in Fairford. Everyone is so friendly.”

Charlie and Daisy both appeared live on stage at The Corn Hall in Cirencester on Saturday night for This Country Rocks the Cotswolds.
