  • THE next Tetbury and district footpath group meeting/walk will be on September 26 at 10am. Cars will be needed as it is a walk down into Golden Valley, then through Oldhill Woods and on to Frampton Mansell via the old disused canal. 5mls, 8kms;Level B.   • THE next police open surgery meeting point will be Wednesday, September 27 at 12-1pm at Tetbury Town Council offices, The Old Courthouse.
  • ST MICHAEL’S Catholic Church start their Michael Fest celebrations with music, song and prose on Friday, September 29 at 7.30pm. Tickets £5. Children under 16 are free, which goes towards the church refurbishment. Tickets are available from the Parish office or ring 01666 502367.

  • FRIENDS of Tetbury Hospital present The Alligators on Saturday, October 7. An evening of 60s and 70s music and dance with bar and raffle at The Dolphins Hall, New Church Street, Tetbury.   • ST MARY’S Church present their Barn Dance on Saturday, October 7 from 7-10.30pm in St Mary’s Hall. Well known local band and caller, Baily’s Beads and Easy Dances. Tickets £10 from the Parish Office 01666 500088 (open Tuesday to Friday mornings). Fish and chip supper included. Please bring your own drinks and glass.
  • A GREAT opportunity to share with and learn from Christians across the world at Christ Church Tetbury, with Live Skype Link-Up on Wednesday evenings 6.30-8pm on October 4,11 and 25 and November 1. Spend some time sharing within the Tetbury group and some of the time speaking through Skype with a community in Malawi. Largely dependent on agriculture, Malawi is a small, landlocked country which has been badly affected by climate change. Regular droughts and floods make it hard for communities to cope and Christian Aid is helping families improve farming methods to grow more food. Numbers will be limited, so please contact Noel Sharp on 01453 298389 or nsharp@christian-aid.org if you would like to take part.
  • JILL Dodge raised an amazing £351 at her last coffee morning, making at total of £839 since July 15 in aid of Tetbury Good Shed Art. She would like to thank all of the supporters of the Goods Shed Art Centre who have supported her.
  • THE Dolphins Hall is now back to being a community hall with a variety of fitness events throughout the daytime including yoga. The Lions now holding their monthly meetings at the Dolphins Hall and a family disco is now being held once a month. The Dolphins Lunch Club is every 3rd Friday at £5 per head. A Christmas Bazaar is on December 2 from 10am-4pm. The Dolphins Hall will commence total  refurbishment on August 1 2018.
