A NEW retirement development in Cirencester has already sold 94 per cent of its apartments.

Bath Gate Place, a McCarthy and Stone-owned complex on Hammond Way, opened this year following a sales launch event held at The Four Pillars Hotel last November.

Kim Caldwell, regional sales and marketing director at McCarthy and Stone Southern, said: “We have been truly overwhelmed by the fantastic response.

“The high level of early demand we are experiencing is testament to the number of people in the local area who are looking to enjoy independent living within a safe and secure environment, but where they can also benefit from companionship and a sense of community.”

The plans for the complex were revealed in 2014, with many Cirencester residents criticising the location on a ‘busy’ main road.
