SOUTH Cerney Parish Council is seeking a replacement provider for the R Way Youth Club in the village.
For a number of years, the village has had a youth club at the Village hall, the Scout HQ and most recently at Fenton’s Community Centre.
The parish council had engaged Young Gloucestershire for the provision of these services but the charity have now withdrawn from this sector. So the parish council is seeking a replacement provider to start from September.
Sessions of the popular youth group take place on Tuesdays in the new Fenton’s Community Centre in Teal Way, South Cerney.
The facilities include a meeting room, sports hall with various equipment including table tennis, tennis, and badminton, and the café seating area. The council is looking for someone to provide support and advice to young people, plan sessions, work with local groups, regularly report on the activities' progress and carry out regular risk assessments of all activities.
Anyone interested in this opportunity is asked to contact the clerk, Robert Cowley, at clerk@southcerney.org.uk (or by phone 07983 202015)
