THERE was fun and sunshine throughout the day for those who attended the Tetbury Flower and Summer Show.

The event yesterday began with a parade that started from the Market House and ended at the recreation memorial ground, where Tetbury mayor Stephen Hirst officially opened the flower show.

The parade, led by the mayor, included representations from the Tetbury dramatic society, the old school riders of Tetbury, a samba band, and the Snooty Fox.

A decorated van by Tetbury Town Council, which is usually seen keeping the town tidy, also had councillors and officers on board who dispersed sweets to children.

During the flower show, there was an auction and dog show, as well as a grand draw.
