A MAN in his 60s who was treated by paramedics at Beeches coach stop in Cirencester has died.

Police officers were called to the scene at 10am on Thursday (August 10), where paramedics performed CPR.

It is believed the man was taken off a National Express coach, which was parked at the stop on London Road, and may have been the driver.

An air ambulance landed in a field adjacent to Burford Road, with the man, who has not yet been formally named, then taken to hospital.

A police spokeswoman said the death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed.

Over the weekend, flowers were laid at the stop, with a card addressed to ‘Chris’ from ‘Katie, Emily and Lucy’.

A spokesman for Gloucester Coroners said the post-mortem is due to take place on Thursday.

"We will be able to release details then, but at this moment in time he has not been formally identified," he added.
