A CIRENCESTER man who was found in possession of two Stanley Knife blades in the town, assaulted a police officer, a court heard.
Garry May, 33, of Upper Churnside, admitted threatening behaviour, assaulting PC Lloyd and possessing a bladed article in a public place, when he appeared before Cheltenham magistrates on July 11.
May committed the offences on June 23 at North Way, Cirencester.
He was given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for one year and ordered to pay £250 compensation.
He was also ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs.
