IF elected onto Gloucestershire County Council, Cotswold Green Party councillors will be looking to shield the district from the 'Brexit shambles', the party said.
The green party will also protect school budgets and fight against the controversial Javelin Park incinerator.
Announcing its list of candidates in the Cotswolds, Andrew Maclean, chair of Cotswold Green Party, said: “If elected, Green Party councillors would look to shield the Cotswolds from the Brexit shambles, which is being used as a cover to remove protection of the countryside.
"Greens would also cancel the Tories’ wasteful Javelin Park incinerator, saving hundreds of millions of pounds in costs and the burning of hundreds of thousands of tons of valuable recycling.
"Our young people also deserve better than the dreadful Tory budget cuts to schools.”
“Voters from Chipping Campden in the north to Tetbury in the south will be able to vote for Green Party candidates to bring new ideas to Gloucestershire County Council.
"Too often Conservative Councillors’ only idea of success is to keep the Council Tax down, not to improve the lives and environment of those whom they represent.
"Green Party councillors would reverse these priorities.”

Cotswold Green Party said they were especially pleased that Sabrina Poole, at 26, is standing as their youngest candidate in the Tetbury division, against the Conservatives and UKIP.
Sabrina said: “I have seen in both my professional and personal life that local services are being stripped away from us, with those who have little voice the first to suffer.
"We need to ensure our communities can thrive sustainably, not just try to survive."
