SEVEN businesses will be sent warning letters for illegally driving their lorries through Tetbury roads with weight restrictions.
Tetbury's Lorry Watch will be sending warning letters to businesses that flouted vehicle weight restrictions in Long Street and Chipping Street.
The volunteers spent a number of hours over Friday, February 24, Monday, February 27 and Friday, March 3 carrying out the watch under the Market Hall.
Volunteers observed more lorries breaking the weight limit on the first Friday compared to the following days on February 27 and March 3.
The watch will be sending businesses a warning letter along with a photo to let them know that they were seen breaking the law.
If the same businesses are caught again, their details will be passed onto the local police team.
Volunteers also said there were a large number of overweight local lorries using Long Street and Chipping Street because they are exempt from the weight restrictions.
