TWO drivers were lucky to escape with only minor injuries after a serious crash between Cirencester and Tetbury.
An image taken by police at the scene showed one of the two cars involved had sustained extensive damage to its front, with the bonnet mangled and windscreen smashed.
The crash occurred last night on the Tetbury Road and resulted in the road being closed for a short time to clear the vehicles and debris.
Cotswold Police took to social media to explain that despite the damage, only minor injuries had occurred and re-enforced the importance of driving safely and wearing a seatbelt.
