A VETS in Cirencester has become one of only five in the UK to receive four ‘outstanding’ accreditations from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).

Vets4Pets, on Bridge Road, gained the accreditations for excelling in client service, team and professional responsibilities, in-patient service and consultation service.

An RCVS assessor monitored the team at Vets4Pets Cirencester over a four-month period to evaluate the standards of practice.

Martina Eyre-Brook, practice owner and veterinary surgeon, said: “Words can’t describe how proud I am of my team and practice and what we have achieved over the past few months.

“Providing the best and highest level of service possible to our clients has always been my main priority for the practice, and so I wanted to push my team to excel in what we offered pets and their owners.

“We first became accredited by the RCVS in June and from then on we worked incredibly hard to prepare for the other awards. We focused on implementing new protocols so we could meet all the criteria that would help us reach outstanding level.

“It was such a fantastic feeling when we were told we had passed each time, just knowing that all our hard work had paid off was wonderful. We couldn’t wait to tell everyone.

“Being one of only five veterinary practices across the UK to receive four awards from the RCVS is amazing, and it highlights the huge variety of excellence we offer as a first opinion practice.”

The RCVS began running their accreditation awards scheme in November 2015, and the assessor who visited Vets4Pets Cirencester, Nick Stuart MRCVS, was particularly impressed.

“On all occasions I visited Vets4Pets Cirencester, Martina and her team stood out as knowledgeable, friendly and caring,” he said.

“I hope other practices throughout the UK recognise what Martina has achieved and push themselves to apply to the awards scheme too.”

Vets4Pets Cirencester also has gold level accreditation for being a cat friendly practice by the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).
