ROAD users are raising awareness of the national epidemic of potholes today, National Pothole Day.
The #NationalPotholeDay social media campaign, which is in its third year, is spearheaded by Street Repairs, a national fault reporting system.
The day calls for more to be done to potholes around the country and invites road users to report and showcase their daily miseries.
It is hoped that the campaign will raise awareness and put more pressure on authorities to do more to protect roads.
Bourton-on-the-Water and Northleach councillor Paul Hodgkinson, also leader of the Gloucestershire County Council Liberal Democrats, joined the campaign today, tweeting:

Oliver Howitt, Stratton resident, took the opportunity to highlight some of the potholes near his home (pictured below): "There are about 10 dangerous potholes up the street in Stratton and the holes are poorly lit, leaving me with injuries.
"Highways have ignored all holes and vowed to only fix one."
