DUE to the icy conditions, rubbish and recycling collections may not be completed in the Cotswolds today.

Ubico crew began their rounds later than usual today due to the road conditions and have found certain area to be more treacherous than expected.

As a result, Cotswold District Council have warned that some collections may not be possible.

They urge residents to leave their bins out for collecting, which will be done as soon as is considered safe by a Ubico supervisor.

The crews are still working in line with the revised Christmas/New Year timetable and will resume normal collections on Monday, January 16.

This means that the arrangements until then are as follows:

Normal collections due on Thursday, January 12, will be made today – Friday, January 13.

Normal collections due on Friday, January 13, will be made on Saturday, January 14.

As the crews are already out on Saturday, there may be scope for them to collect from any properties which might be missed due to adverse weather. Otherwise, additional catch-up collections will be made on Monday.

Any queries regarding the council’s waste and recycling services should be referred to their Waste Hotline on 01285 623123.
