  • TWO of our younger residents were brought off their motorcycles in separate incidents in the last week, both by inconsiderate driving by car/van drivers who drove off afterwards without leaving details. Local social media has been buzzing as we try to identify the culprits. Our neglected roads, overgrown verges, pot holes, and fallen leaves combine to make motorcycling in the rain and gloom of winter less safe than it should be.
  • THE parish council has arranged for the graveyard at the Lower End Chapel to be cut this month as a first step towards keeping the area tidy and attractive. The area has been transformed from a rather gloomy place by the removal of a screen of trees on adjoining land to the south which has let far more sunlight into the area than hitherto. Very few of the graves there are maintained by relatives, just a few are clipped regularly and always seem to have fresh flowers.
