A MAN was arrested in connection with a sexual assault on a 24-year-old woman in Tetbury last week.
The sexual assault happened in The Green on Thursday, October 13 between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
The victim was confronted, pushed against a wall and slapped before being sexually assaulted.
She suffered minor injuries to her face and ripped clothing, but managed to fend off her attacker and run away.
A 54-year-old Tetbury man was detained yesterday on suspicion of sexual assault and has been bailed to return to police on December 2, pending further inquiries.
Police are still very keen for anyone with information who hasn't come forward to call 101, quoting incident number 514 of October 13.
