POLICE are appealing for witnesses as investigations into a serious collision in Blockley continue, with one motorist in a life threatening condition in hospital.

The crash happened on the A44 southbound after the Chipping Campden turning at around 6.15am on Friday (October 14) and involved a silver Peugeot 206, a red Citroen C5 and a black Volkswagen Golf.

The 33-year-old male driver of the Citroen remains in a life threatening condition at Coventry Hospital, having sustained serious head injuries.

The driver of the Golf, a 31-year-old man, has since been taken to Southmead Hospital with serious internal injuries.

However, they are not thought to be life threatening.

Any witnesses who haven't yet spoken to police should call 101 and quote incident 42 of October 14.
