CIRENCESTER'S Charter and Farmers' Markets will be temporarily relocating to Brewery Court.
The move for the next five weeks is being made as the Market Place Regeneration works move swiftly towards completion and as the works focus on the area in front of the church.
Cirencester Town Council have ensured that the weekly Friday Charter Market and twice monthly Farmers’ Market will continue to trade by the New Brewery Arts Centre and The Barrel Store.
This will take effect from Friday, September 30 until early November when the works are due to be completed.
Cirencester mayor Mark Harris said: “We are committed to ensuring that Cirencester Markets continues as normally as possible so all those who use the market and our loyal traders continue to enjoy a key shopping facility for the town.
"Looking to the future, the new Market Place will provide a wonderful space to hold a new improved market, themed markets and events which will create a thriving market town experience.”
Caroline Pover, Auntie Caroline, one of Cirencester Markets’ valued traders said: “we are very much looking forward to the move, which takes us one step closer to the completion of the new market.
"We would like to welcome all our customers, old and new, in our new location, right next to lots of parking!"
Once the regeneration works are completed the market will be moving back to its rejuvenated home.
