FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a farm in Chesterton, Cirencester on Saturday after the emergency services received a number of calls describing thick, black fumes in the area.
The fire broke out in the morning at Chesterton Farm and approximately 60 tonnes of hay were destroyed.
A nearby electricity pole was affected and SSE are now in attendance.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire County Council said: “Three of our appliances and one water carrier attended the scene.
“They arrived at 11.50am and the last one didn’t leave until 4.50pm.”
No injuries were reported and the cause is still being investigated.
