TOUGH Mudder South West took place in Cirencester over the weekend with competitors braving 12 miles and more than 20 obstacles.

Featured in the event at Cirencester Park on Saturday, August 20 and and Sunday 21 were monkey bars, 10-foot walls, water jumps and lots of mud.

Tetraplegic Rob Camm, who is paralysed from the neck down after being seriously injured in a car crash three years ago, took part in the challenge again this year.

But with determination, strength, and the help of technology, Rob navigated the 12-mile course in a pioneering wheelchair he controlled with his chin.

The event is an official partner of Help for Heroes, and donations go to fund projects that help wounded, injured or sick soldiers and veterans return to the Forces or transition to civilian life.
