  • CHEDWORTH Parish Council is to write to the CEO of Thames Water to complain about a lack of information during recent interruption in supply. Recently callers were not given information but simply directed to the Thames Water website where the information about the fault was up to eight hours out of date.
  • THE Parish council is down to six members following the resignation of Adrian Bell. The district council has been informed and will be seeking candidates in due course.
  • THE football team, Chedworth Cavalliers, has decided not to use Chedworth Playing Field for the 2016/7 season so the Parish Council is seeking another team to use the facility. Please contact the clerk on 01285 720313 for details.
  • WORKS to the blocked water pipe under Tuns Hill are stalled as no one seems to have any funds to pay for the work. The Parish Council has established the pipe is 75 per cent blocked with sediment but with a probable clearing costs in the range of £10,000 it looks like water will continue to flow down the road after even moderate rainfall for some considerable time.
  • CHEDWORTH Silver Band’s next engagement will be at Taynton Fete near Burford on Saturday, July 2. The Band will be playing from 2.30 pm.
  • CHEDWORTH Diggers are trying to attract more members to join them at their allotments in the beautiful location off Fields Road. Contact Vanessa on 720314, or ask at Pre school for details.
