A MAN was arrested and charged after allegedly crashing a car into a Cirencester house whilst drunk.
The police were called at 1.40am on Saturday (May 21) after reports that a man in a grey Ford Focus estate car had driven into the wall of a house on Dyer Street.
Fergus Berger was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and of being three times over the limit.
The 21-year-old had allegedly driven the wrong way down the one-way street and onto the pavement before hitting the house.
According to police, British Gas engineers were also called out because of fears the car had possibly struck a gas pipe.
Mr Berger, also of Dyer Street, has been charged with drink driving and driving without due care and attention, and will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on June 8.
