Dead duck 'shot by crossbow bolt'
A DEAD mallard spotted in Lechlade is believed to have been shot by a crossbow.
Police were called on Sunday after a member of the public saw the duck floating along the Thames with what appeared to be a crossbow bolt through its side.
Officers were unable to retrieve the duck, and are appealing for anybody who saw it to come forward.
Call police on 101 quoting incident number 354.
