AN ELDERLY man died after a collision in Tetbury this morning.
Police are appealing for witnesses after an heavy goods vehicle tractor unit collided with the man as it turned into London Road from Hampton Street at 10.35am.
An air ambulance attended but the 91-year-old from Tetbury sadly died at the scene.
Police would like to speak to motorists who were in front of the tractor unit just before it turned into London Road, and anyone else who witnessed the event.
The road was closed while the investigation takes place.
Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident 127 of April 29.
UPDATE: As of 4pm, the road has been re-opened, and police have left the scene.
The man's next of kin have been informed of the incident.
Police also said: "We would like to thank everyone who helped at the scene - particularly members of the public who helped administer first aid with our officers and paramedics."
