A NEW job is being created to help bring community groups together in Tetbury.
The ‘town project manager’ will work to promote the town and take on projects that will foster community spirit.
The matter was brought up at a Tetbury Town Council meeting last week where councillors said they hoped it would raise the morale of the town which had slumped slightly following incidents like the closure of the Priory care home.
Tetbury town clerk Natalie Haines explained there was enough elbow room in the council budget for the role and said the new employee could liaise with different groups such as the Chamber of Commerce.
The title ‘community worker’ was also suggested but did not find favour with all councillors.
If you are interested in the role, contact Tetbury Town Council.
