A PUB in Lechlade-on-Thames is holding a re-launch party tomorrow to celebrate their recent refurbishment efforts.

The New Inn Hotel is hosting their re-launch on Friday (November 27) from 4.30pm, having spent £100,000 on refurbishments to the bar and other areas.

Nick Sandhu, pub owner, said: “We’ve kept the character of the original pub, which was very important, but we’ve brought in new 21st century facilities to help keep us modern.”

Mr Sandhu took over the running of the establishment, which has been owned by his family for 27 years, in 1990.

The refurbishment job, which includes a re-designed bar area, was undertaken by contractors Concorde BGW, a Restaurant & Bar Design Awards winner for 2013 and 2014.

The New Inn Hotel, a 30-bedroom 17th century coaching inn, also recently welcomed a new head chef.

Mr Sandhu said: “Our menu prides itself on good home-made food using locally sourced ingredients.

“The new chef has made some changes to keep things fresh but that same philosophy of traditional English pub food is still there.”

The launch will include complimentary canapés and drinks.

Between Saturday, November 28 and December 17 a free drink will be offered with every meal purchased at the pub.
