A NEW church has joined Cirencester’s burgeoning faith community.

Overcomers House is the third church to have launched in the town in the last decade, and it meets every Sunday in Chesterton Primary School.

The team pioneering the church, lead by Obaro Oyadah, are from the Redeemed Church in Gloucester and are excited to have made the move to Cirencester.

"We are grateful for the warm welcome we have had, and are looking forward to seeking to communicate the Christian message in and around this town," Pastor Obaro said.

Pastor Obaro and his church have been welcomed by other church leaders in Cirencester.

"Starting a new church is a challenge in 21st century Britain," said chairman of Churches Together in Cirencester Matt Frost. "And so we are praying for Obaro and his team as find their feet here in the Cotswolds. We are glad to have them on board."
