THREE Cirencester mums have joined forces to launch a bespoke writing service that enhances the way businesses and charities communicate.

Clare Austin, Esther Barron and Emma Wrigley, who have eight children between them, have pooled their skills to set up The Writing Collective, a new business focusing exclusively on writing tailor-made copy.

To mark the launch of The Writing Collective, charitable organisations in and around Cirencester will be offered special introductory rates.

The trio is offering a range of writing services including business features, company newsletters, brochures, website material, advertising copy and company profiles.

There is also an editing and proofreading service for businesses needing an extra pair of eyes cast over important documents and material such as company reports, websites and corporate literature.

Before taking time out from their careers to bring up their children, the three women worked in media and marketing in Britain and abroad. Keen not to let their skills go to waste, they launched The Writing Collective to strike a good balance in their personal and professional lives.

Esther, a former journalist and news editor, who is now a qualified proofreader, said: “It is very exciting to be launching our new business. We already have an important job as mums but we are now keen to pool our professional skills together and get back to work.”

Fellow mum Emma has 20 years’ experience working in marketing communications. She said: “We have all worked at a senior level in media and marketing and we would really like to give something back to the local community.”

Clare, whose career has included working as a fashion and beauty writer for top women’s magazines in Singapore, said: “We have come together to form The Writing Collective so that we can do the work we love while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

“We each have our own area of expertise, enabling us to give our clients exactly the type of writing they require.”
