POLICE officers saved the life of a man who was reportedly attempting to jump onto the A419.

They were called at 4am this morning to Burford Road in Cirencester, to deal with the incident involving a man in his 20s.

He was arrested under the Mental Health Act and taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
