THE Golden Cross pub in Cirencester has undergone a makeover.
Arkell's brewery, which is responsible for the pub, has funded the work, which includes the painting of the frontage of the pub and its inside walls.
The garden has also been recently expanded and renovated with further work planned for 2016.
Arkell’s Brewery managing director, George Arkell, said: “The Golden Cross is a gem and we’ve invested in the pub over recent years, extending and upgrading it. The recent renovation is part of our rolling programme of investment in all our pubs to keep them fresh and appealing to all our customers.”
Landlord Mark Lindesay has been working with head chef Andy Routledge on a new menu to reflect the changes at the pub.
Andy explained: “Autumn and Winter are great seasons for creating new dishes.
“Game season is in full flow and the veg’ at this time of year is also very good.”
The Golden Cross is open for breakfast in its Stable Bar on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10am, while lunch is served Monday to Sunday from 12pm to 3pm and dinner service is 6pm to 930pm Monday to Saturday.
