TEAM JimJam, the women on a mission to raise funds for a local charity, have added a somewhat younger member to their team.

Wendy Wilson and friends have been running races across the South West to raise money for The John Hopkins Trust, which helps her look after her severely disabled daughter Imogen.

Now, Wendy’s daughter 7-year-old Caitlin has been getting in the team spirit, raising £160 by selling books at Stratton School Fete on Sunday, June 21.

The generosity seemed to surprise even Wendy, who said: “What an amazing result!  We have one more book stall to do actually at James Hopkins Fete on July 12 so hopefully the total will be a lot more.”

Team JimJam ran the Cheltenham Challenge on the same weekend and have to date raised more than £1,000.

The money will help the charity keep on providing excellent care for four-year-old Imogen, who is blind, partially deaf and has a rare genetic disorder known as Osteopetrosis which affects only one in 250,000.
