THE Mayor of Tetbury joined local retirees to officially open a new retirement complex.
Cllr Sandra Ball cut the ceremonial ribbon on London Road, Tetbury, to open McCarthy and Stone’s Lewsey Court development.
The aim of the complex is to help keep older people independent for longer.
Cllr Ball said: “It was a pleasure to mark the show complex opening at Lewsey Court and great to see so many faces from the local community voicing their interest in the scheme.
“Living independently and securely is incredibly important at any age, and it’s wonderful to see developments like this one in Tetbury providing local retirees with a multitude of options in which they can really make the most of their retirement years.”
Lewsey Court includes of 38 one and two bedroom apartments, a homeowners’ lounge, landscaped gardens and a guest room for friends or relatives to stay.
Prices start from £199,500 for a one bedroom apartment or 299,500 for a two bedroom.
