IT IS just days to go before voters go to the polls to decide how Britain will be run for the next five years.

Below are the five candidates vying to become MP and what they say will be their top three priorities if elected.

Conservative candidate Geoffrey Clifton-Brown said:

  • Having successful included the A417 Missing Link in the Government’s road programme I will continue to put pressure on all involved to ensure work begins as soon as possible.
  • Having saved the Fire Service College in Moreton, protecting hundreds of jobs, I will continue to support the interests of small businesses, making sure they are put in the best position possible to succeed and expand.
  • I will continue to campaign for improved broadband and mobile phone connections which are crucial in all aspects of life. I have already had meetings with the Secretary of State downwards and will carry on pressing fastershire to be more transparent.

Lib Dem candidate Paul Hodgkinson said:

  • To build on my record of getting things done for our area and be a full time MP with no second job.
  • To protect the countryside and green spaces from predatory developers as we live in a unique area.
  • To get 21st century services for the Cotswolds like decent roads, proper phone signal, faster broadband and ambulance response times on a par with the big towns.

Labour candidate Manjinder Kang said:

  • I shall work towards reducing the number of new homes that are planned for development in the Cotswolds and ensure that smaller developments are given priority.
  • Reduce tuition fees from £9,000 per year to £6,000 per year to help young people attend university instead of being deterred from education due to the cost.
  • Recruit 20,000 more nurses, 8,000 more General Practitioners and 5,000 more homecare workers into our NHS.

Ukip candidate Chris Harlow said:

  • Ukip would raise tax thresholds so that no-one working 40 hours on the minimum wage would pay income tax. If it's a minimum, it shouldn't betaxed.
  • Ukip would reduce government spending by cutting foreign aid, scrapping HS2, abolishing the Barnett Formula, cutting unnecessary Whitehall departments and leaving the EU.
  • Ukip would control our borders and limit immigration by introducing an Australian-style points-based system.

Green Party candidate Penny Burgess said:

  • An NHS that is run for people, not for profit.
  • An economy where taxes aren’t dodged and everyone pays their fair share.
  • Improved and affordable rural transport.
