POLICE are hunting for witnesses after a man allegedly grabbed his partner around the neck and punched her in the mouth at a bar in Gloucester.

The attack happned at Molly's Bar, Westgate Street in Gloucester on March 17.

After a visit to the bar on March 17, the victim told police that she and her partner were involved in an argument outside the bar in which he poured a bottle of beer over her head and grabbed her around the neck.

She then said that three unknown women intervened and told her partner to leave her alone. Back inside the private section of the pub the victim's partner allegedly punched her in the mouth, causing cuts and swelling to her mouth. Although the time of the incident is uncertain, it is believed to be late afternoon or early evening.

The victim is white, 27, slim build, about 5’7" tall, with long dark brown straight hair. At the time, she was wearing a purple cardigan with flowers on it.

Police would particularly like to speak to the three women who witnessed the argument and intervened.
