A POLICE manhunt has yet to catch a suspect who fled after a house was burgled in Long Newnton.
A police helicopter, a dog unit and several police cars were out in Cirencester after one of the men was traced to the town.
Two men were stopped in a white panelled van on the edge of Cirencester Park at the Kennels Lodge near the Stroud Road.
One of the men was arrested after a struggle with police officers but the other escaped across the park towards Broad Ride.
Police found a shoe nearby, thought to be from the escapee.
The man at large is described as a white male, of around 30 years, wearing a black three quarter length coat and a black hat.
The other man has been remanded in police custody on suspicion of burglary, he is described as a 35-year-old man from the Cheltenham area.
Police are urging any witnesses to come forward, calling 101 and quoting incident number 237 of 27/3/2015.
