STUDENTS from the Royal Agricultural University will be pulling a tractor from Cirencester town centre to the university as part of its annual charity fundraising event.

RAISE and Give (RAG) Week is a tradition at the Royal Agricultural University.

This year’s fundraising events, running from the 10 to 15 Feb, are organised by the RAG team and the university student union and will raise money for the Chesterton Community Project, The Willow Trust, and The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.

This year students will be taking part in a number of activities, including a charity auction, clay pigeon shoot, a gala dinner and tractor pull. The tractor pull will start in Cirencester town centre and be pulled all the way to the RAU campus by the student body, with students collecting money along the way.

Millie Mantle, RAUSU chairman, said: “RAG Week is an essential part of the RAU tradition and one that we are proud to put on and promote. As a team we strive to create a unique week for all those involved. ” this t
