THE MET Office has issued a yellow warning of snow and ice for Gloucestershire, and urge people to be aware of difficult driving conditions.

A persistent spell or rain, sleet and snow may affect the county during this morning.

Most areas are unlikely to see large amounts of snow but icy stretches are likely to form on untreated surfaces.

Today will be a chilly one - there will be a scattering of showers with perhaps some sleet. The strong wind will ease a little.

There will be more showers tonight, becoming increasingly heavy into the early hours of the morning.

Icy patches are expected by Saturday morning.
