FESTIVAL fans do not have to wait until August for their next Cirencester music fix, as the popular annual Phoenix Festival is holding a special Valentine's Day support party.

'Love the Phoenix' is on Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 14, at the Bingham Gallery in Cirencester and will be the perfect opportunity for fans, artists, charities, traders and potential volunteers to drop in, meet the team, and show some support.

"We’d really love to meet you," said festival manager and volunteer Glen Moreman. "There will be refreshments, live music starring musical duo Ethemia, some inspirational festival footage and opportunities for you to help us ensure this fantastic music festival is another community success."

The team will be on hand to answer queries and hear ideas, as well as offering ways for people to get involved.

The Phoenix Festival, a weekend event of local music, food and entertainment held in the Abbey Grounds, costs around £50,000 to run each year.

It is the brainchild of Cirencester youth group Ozone and is supported by Cirencester Community Development Trust and Cirencester Town Council.

Festival assistant manager and volunteer Kelly Leadbeater said it would be great to have input from local young people, the wider community and businesses.

"So if you’ve been thinking about volunteering, performing, trading or financially supporting the festival in some way, now is your chance. Together we can make 2015 the Festival to really rock the Cotswolds," she said.

The event runs from 12-4pm on Saturday, February 14 and everyone is welcome to drop-in.

This year's Phoenix Festival will be on to August 29 and 30 at Cirencester's Abbey Grounds.
