A 15 YEAR old male has been charged with attempted robbery, ABH and possession of an offensive weapon following an incident at a store in Kingsway, Quedgeley.
The ihappened at about 8.30pm on Tues 18th November, a male entered the store, struck a member of staff with a metal implement and demanded money from the till. No money was taken.
He has been released on bail and will appear at Gloucester Youth Court on Thursday January 8 next year.
PC Steve Sutton, from Gloucestershire Police, said: "I would like to thank everyone who responded to our Facebook appeal for information leading to the arrest of this person. Almost immediately after we had posted it we received a great response from a number of people with useful information to help us."
