A MAN has been charged in connection with an attempted burglary at a house in Moreton-in-Marsh where a pensioner was threatened with a plastic gun.
The incident happened at a house on Station Road in Blockley at around 12.45pm on Wednesday November,19.
The man knocked on the elderly man's door and when he answered he forced himself into the house by threatening the man with the weapon.
But the elderly man fought back and challenged the man, forcing him to run away from the house towards a nearby Stationn Road cemetery.
The victim was uninjured and nothing was taken in the incident.
Patrick McDonagh, aged 41, of Winterway in Blockley has been charged with aggravated burglary with intent and has been remanded in custody and will appear before Cheltenham Magistrates today.
