FIZZ and fun is on the cards as a Cirencester garden centre hots its annual ladies night on Thursday.

Dobbies Garden Centre in Siddington will greet guests with canapés and a glass on sparkling wine on arrival and pamper sessions are up for grabs from 5pm to 9pm.

The garden centre will also hold demonstrations offering insights into this year’s festive trends, together with tips and advice to make Christmas 2014 one to remember.

Entry is £1, with proceeds going to Helen & Douglas House Children’s Hospice, through its national Christmas partnership with Together for Short Lives.

Janet Carruzzo, community fundraiser for Helen & Douglas House, said “The ladies night sounds like it is going to be brilliant and the funds raised will help us continue to provide vital care and support for children and families in the Cirencester area.”

Andy King, managing director at Dobbies, said: "Ladies night is always a fantastic night out and we’re really excited about the frolics our community champions have up their sleeve for this year. In the past we’ve seen exclusive beauty and hair treatments on offer, fashion shows and even butlers in the buff and I’m sure our customers will be thrilled by the surprises in store for them this year.”

Dobbies is aiming to raise £100,000 for Together for Short Lives, the UK’s leading charity for children’s palliative care, through a series of events.
