YOUNGSTERS were given the chance to have a go at the craft of needle felting at the Gateway visitors centre on Tuesday.
Helen Shields, a fibre artist led a workshop where she guided people through all the steps needed to turn a lump of merino wool into a 3D snowman with real personality.
The workshop was for children aged 10 years and saw them using special felting needles to stab their creations into shape.
