CIRENCESTER is now home to a winner of a Bib Gourmand following the announcement of this year’s Michelin Stars.

The Bib Gourmand signifies good food at moderate prices and has been a part of the Michelin guide since 1955.

Made by Bob owner James ‘Bob’ Parkinson said that he was chuffed with the news his restaurant and deli had won the award.

He said: “I was in my own little bubble and didn’t even know the stars were coming out.”

“We never expected to get one because we are a restaurant and deli and we have a different style really.”

Bob thanked his loyal customers, who he feels lucky to keep seeing again and again.

Bob hinted that the future could hold a new look for the deli but didn’t fancy his chances of getting Michelin stars just yet.

Another Cotswold establishment, Le Champignon Sauvage in Cheltenham, was awarded two Michelin stars this year, making it part of an extremely exclusive club.

The guide itself is published French tyre company Michelin, who have produced an annual guide to UK restaurants for over 100 years.
