CIRENCESTER residents have until September 30 to submit their views about controversial bus cuts in Cirencester.

The town council are taking opinions and evidence on how people in the town have been affected by cuts to buses which ran to Chesterton and Stratton.

Peggy Tout, one of the members of Chesterton Bus Action said: “The Chesterton and Stratton bus services have been halved since June 23rd, 2014. The last bus from town runs between 2 and 3.

“After that time the elderly, those with mobility problems, families with babes in arms, toddlers, cannot access town shops, doctors' and hospital appointments, work or friends."

The town council will run a review of the bus service and argue with Stagecoach to have services re-instated but only if they have evidence from the passengers affected.
