POPULAR television series Strictly Come Dancing is opening its dance floor to the public and searching for local heroes to take part in the show.

The programme is welcoming nominations of people who change other people's lives, but stress that they do not need any dance experience and that they must not be warned of their nomination.

Strictly Come Dancing is one of the biggest shows at the BBC attracting up to 14million viewers.

The deadline for nominations is October 31 and nomination forms are available via email from nominate@bbc.co.uk.
